| Ray
Bradbury's most significant contribution to our culture is showing that
the imagination has no foreseeable boundaries. His skills as a
storyteller have inspired and empowered generations to tell their
stories no matter how bizarre or improbable. Today we need Ray
Bradbury's gifts more than ever, and his stories have made him

| Ray Bradbury is a national treasure and a literary icon, officially recognized as the number one read for the national school curriculum and disseminated by the National Endowment for the Arts. This is a crucial and fundamental opportunity for cultural development in Ventura Country. We ask all those who understand the possibilities to involve themselves philanthropically and recognize this great man in his lifetime. If he is prepared to commit to Ventura County, we should reciprocate. Ray is considered to be the American Dickens, Verne, Wells and Joyce. This event, the Ray Bradbury Theatre and Film Festival was produced by Michael Kelly (805.901.2137) in association with John Anthony Miller II and Katie Crawford-Miller of Phantom Bookshop in Ventura, CA. | HUMANITARIAN: 'Ray Bradbury saw the possibilities of unending human expansion--beyond this planet, the unending expansion of human thought.' - Steven Robert Wollenberg (actor) |
